Eastern Wood
Eastern Wood had a milestone quarter on two fronts. First, they officially released Loong's Tales, their debut English sci-fi print anthology reimagining the dragon for a high-tech age — drawing strong interest from global partners at the Bangkok Rights Fair. Hot on its heels came AI and Ai (AI and Love), their second original Chinese sci-fi collection exploring technology, human emotions, and ethics. To celebrate the launch, one of the stories was adapted into an object theatre performance at the Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) 2026 - Eastern Wood's first foray from page to stage, brought to life in collaboration with polytechnic and university students.

Difference Engine
Difference Engine made their debut at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) 2026 this quarter - one of the premier comics festivals in the world. Publisher Felicia Low-Jimenez represented the company on the exhibition floor and across several programmes, while writer Shreya Davies (To the Last Gram) appeared as an invited speaker and exhibitor, a landmark moment for her as a creator. Beyond the sales and connections made, it was a thrilling opportunity to bring their comics to audiences who had never heard of them before.

Tusitala
Tusitala made significant strides this quarter in their 3D-Printed Tactile Picture Book project, a year-long research initiative exploring how technology can make Singapore picture books accessible for visually impaired children. Supported by DesignSingapore's Good Design Research grant and developed in collaboration with NAMIC Hub@SIT and iC2 Prephouse, the project addresses a real gap in the availability of engaging, locally relevant tactile books for children with visual disabilities. Their final prototype - featuring a level-plate system, dual-text layout, puzzle mechanism, and caregiver user guide - has since been presented at talks and exhibitions internationally.

Potato Impact Partners
Potato Impact Partners took their learning on the road this quarter, joining a seaweed industry trip to South Korea organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with support from Builders Vision. Tessa Charupatanapongse, Bernice Tang, and Sarah Wan-Yau visited seaweed nurseries, farms, and met with leaders in government and research, gaining firsthand insight into one of the world's most developed seaweed markets. The team returned with key learnings and challenged assumptions about the sector, which Tessa has written up in a detailed blog piece.
